Our selection of 10 different alpines carefully chosen to be suitable for trough or sink planting - or in any large container. All are compact and slower-growing with a range of flowers and foliage for extended interest. Each plant individually labelled.
10 plants will neatly fill a trough up to, very roughly, 40 x 30cm (16" x 12") or about 40cm (16") diameter. Size isn't critical as some of the plants will spread over the edges and smaller ones look good with a bit of space around them, especially once a good layer of grit is spread around them - something you should always do.
Some people like to pack them in, others like to give each plant a bit of space. Also, you can add a rock or some slates which will take a bit of space but offer different planting opportunities. It is usually better to be underplanted than to cram everything in - you can always add more plants later and those you do plant will grow larger.
If ordering more than one collection we will give you as many varieties as we can.
