Forms close, low- growing mats which can be completely hidden under the flowers in late spring. The flowers are quite large and deeper pink to start, but turn blush pink as they age and with these conspicuous darker eyes. 'Kelly's Eye' - number one, indeed. About 7cm (3") high.
A really fine plant in every way - compact, a good grower and flowers well. Like a P. douglasii but not listed as such as it's a hybrid. Recommended.
