An easy-going plant with nice grey-green foliage and lilac-rose pink flowers opening from nice dark buds. The colour is difficult to describe exactly but (for once) the camera captures it well in the photograph. I always think of it as an 'old fashioned' colour but it's delicate and pretty.
Prefers a well-drained soil (this type of Silene were originally beach inhabitants) and a poor soil also - too much feeding and it will become lush and flower less. About 10cm (4") high.
