An extremely popular Sedum and justifiably so. It will form a mat of fleshy leaves which in summer have a white, waxy coating and give a stunning effect. It also flowers in early summer with large golden heads of starry flowers.
In winter (in colder, wetter areas), it loses its whiteness and the leaves become smooth and almost plum coloured - just as nice as its summer colour.
A tough, extremely hardy little plant that will thrive everywhere but really needs a poor (hungry) soil to show its best. About 5cm (2") high, 10cm (4") when flowering.
