A very popular and widely grown Thyme with dark, olive-green leaves, irregularly splashed with gold. The colour changes through the seasons - ours can become purple with the cold in winter, new growth is almost totally golden and slowly adopts its usually described, olive-green with splashes. The foliage is also pleasantly lemon scented.
Small heads of mauve-pink flowers appear in summer. An easy, adaptable plant that will spread (not too vigorously) on rockeries, sunny banks or in containers. About 10cm (4") high when flowering.
