Very dwarf shrub, heads of rose-red flowers in summer.
A lovely dwarf shrub. Grows as a fairly erect bush with small, crinkled, dark green leaves and in summer has heads of rose-red flowers at the tips of the stems, often lasting well into autumn. The plant has a unique and unusual appearance. I like it.
Completely hardy - in fact, it's a tough wee plant. Ideal on the rock garden but is neat enough for a larger trough. About 30cm (12") high and like all Spiraeas, it can be pruned to ground level in early spring if required.
