Prettily marked pink flowers on dark green mounds.
A pretty little Dianthus with nicely marked pink flowers produced in abundance over neat mounds of dark, glossy foliage. The flower colour pales with age giving a two-tone effect.
Very neat and compact and in many ways similar to a good form of Dianthus alpinus. And like all the D. alpinus types it prefers a slightly richer, loamy soil with good drainage. Regular (but modest) feeding keeps it growing.
Enjoys sunshine and very suitable for a trough etc. About 7 to 10cm (3" or 4") high.
