A beautiful succulent-leaved plant with large flowers for most of the summer. The petals are long and narrow, bright cerise fading to white near the centre and contrasting with yellow stamens. It's very eye-catching. Has a low, spreading habit, about 5cm (2") high.
Needless to say, it's a sun-lover (being succulent leaved) but it will adapt - often surprisingly so - to less than its ideal conditions which are sunshine and a free-draining soil. We find it reliably hardy if protected from winter rain. Also makes an excellent show in a container - which has the advantage of being easily moved for winter.
