Most succulents (Sedums, Sempervivums, Crassula etc.) prefer a sunny and drier place in the garden but this plant is the exception - a cooler, lightly shaded spot suits it better and a soil that doesn't get too parched. But It grows perfectly well for us in the open, with full sunshine, so it is more adaptable.
