A lovely wee Astilbe - finely cut foliage emerges in late spring and eventually bears plumes of pale pink, feathery flowers later in summer. A tough, robust plant which looks very delicate. Easily grown in sun or part shade but prefers a slightly moist (or not dry) soil. Looks good near water. About 20cm (8") high when flowering, perhaps less in full sun.
Does well in a stone trough, especially one in a slightly damp or lightly shaded place.
For comparison, the 3 pot image shows this plant in front, 'Willie Buchanan' to the left, 'Sprite' to the right.
