Somewhat similar to Cyananthus microphyllus (one of its parents) but slightly larger in all its parts. Quite large, stunning blue flowers with hairy centres in late summer when fresh colour is getting scarce.
An outstanding plant that prefers a well-drained, humus-rich soil, and no lime. We find here (in our cool conditions) that it is happy in full sun, provided it has adequate moisture - we find it easy to grow. About 7cm(3") high, spreading. Dies back to the centre for winter and re-emerges in spring.
