An absolute winner - the bright red flowers can completely cover the small, compact plants. It's a gem wherever it's planted but deserves a special place or in a trough where it can really be admired. The colour is so strong that everyone is drawn to it. Not difficult to grow but it is slower than others. About 5 to 7cm (2" or 3") high. Well deserves its AGM.
The main picture above shows just how many flowers can be produced. This is a block of plants, all trayed-up and ready for dispatch to our garden centre customers. Yes, there really are pots, trays and labels (and leaves) under all those flowers!
The other image shows 'Crackerjack on the left, 'Ochsenblut' on the right with 'Zigeunerblut' behind.
