Unusual woody stems, grey fleshy leaves, pinkish white flowers.
An unusual wee plant making neat mounds or carpets of tiny, fleshy leaves condensed along almost woody stems. The leaves are dark green but overlaid with a mealy white farina and appear grey, sometimes red-tinged at the tips. It's a nice effect. Heads of white, pink tinged flowers in summer are almost a bonus. Only 5 to 7cm high (2" or 3").
Although this hails from Mexico, it is remarkably hardy. It is slow-growing so ideal in a hot, sunny trough. Would also make a nice specimen in the alpine house or cold frame.
