Large pink flowers on a whorl of deciduous leaves.
Out of stock.
An unusual and less common deciduous Lewisia, this one rises from below ground in early spring with whorled rosettes of long, fleshy leaves. The large, pale pink flowers are carried on short stems and nestle among the leaves. The plant will go into summer dormancy (die back) after flowering but is fully perennial. About 5cm (2") high.
Fairly easy to grow and being deciduous it copes with winter rain - by disappearing underground! It still requires good drainage from a gritty soil. Does well in a pot or container too and is a good plant for the alpine house.
