A super little plant making tight mats of rounded leaves. Wide heads of violet-blue flowers on short stems appear in late spring.
A perfect plant for growing in a stone trough or other special place but only needs a gritty soil and some sun to do well anywhere. About 5cm (2") high.
Like many plants, this plant has a confused naming history. This is said to be the correct name for Penstemon campanulatus pulchellus, but the plant we have as P. campanulatuspulchellus looks very different. It's a minefield!
We think this one (P.procerus var. formosus) is the better, more desirable plant and what we will be sending out.
