According to the breeder "The successful attempt to breed an almost black semp". This stunningly dark variety has been highly praised and won 'Semp of the Year' in 2012. Black is incredibly difficult to photograph (I'm not a photographer!) and the plant looks darker than the camera will allow.
The name translates as 'Black Rose' and you may occasionally see it wrongly named thus.
Bred by Hans-Joerg Gensch (D) 2004
Well-rooted, established plants, sent in their pots.
